Grigoriopol poultry factory plans to increase up production

The factory is building a new slaughter line and planning to increase the number of poultry breeding shops

Grigoriopol, 23 June. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Grigoriopol's Poultry Farm plans to increase up its production. The factory is building a new slaughter line with a capacity of 1,000 heads per hour. The factory's present capacity is 2,000 heads per day.

As the factory's director, Vasily Bankov, said in an interview with Novosti Pridnestrovya, the line will have been put into operation by the end of the year. At the same time, new refrigerating chambers are going to be installed.

Vasily Bankov noted, in the meantime, that it would be problematic at first to employ the new line's capacity at 100%. This is why the number of poultry breeding shops will also be increased. There are currently six of them, comprising 17,000 heads each. «We are likely to launch from two to four new shops," said Vsily Bankov.

According to the director, with such modernisation and expansion of production, the company bears a number of risks related to seeking market outlets. Domestic poultry is not demanded by Pridnestrovie's major retail chain. «We sent them our cooperation proposals, that is, to sell our products through their chain," explained Vasily Bankov.

In this connection Poultry Farm is developing its own corporate chain. «It comprises nine shops now: five in Tiraspol, three in Dubossary and one in Grigoriopol," noted the director. According to him, opening its own retail outlets prevents the company's cash assets from being invested in the expansion of production.
