Shevchuk: Pridnestrovie is guided by peace-loving policy

The Head of state has declared it during his annual adress to the People of Pridnestrovie

Tiraspol, May 20. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. As the Pridnestrovie's President has noted reading out his annual address to the people of the republic today that in the field of international interaction we are guided by the peace-loving policy for establishment of mutually advantageous good-neighbourhood. At the same time, Yevgeny Shevchuk has added that it's impossible to build up good-neighbourhood using the instruments of criminal prosecution against the citizens of the PMR and suppressing the economic capacity of the Pridnestrovie's enterprises.

«Unfortunately, the last several years after events in Ukraine it became much more difficult for us, Pridnestrovians, to build relations with our important neighbor due to the fact that Kiev has reconsidered its positions. For example, any employee of the Foreign Ministry of the PMR cannot enter the territory of Ukraine today. We recognize that the contacts with the Kiev officials are brought down to a minimum in the last two years that causes a wide range of unresolved problems of the agenda," the President stated.

According to the President, now Pridnestrovie counts on real and serious progress in the 5+2 format negotiations and considers it as a priority to solve an entire group of problems in the fields of movement of citizens, interaction of economy and transport.
