Tiraspol, 5 April. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The 2015 salary indebtedness to public sector employees may be repaid in April or May, said President Yevgeny Shevchuk at a meeting with the residents of Pervomaysk settlement.
According to Yevgeny Shevchuk, tax revenues are not sufficient at the moment to liquidate this indebtedness, which is why the government is searching for an outer funding source.
The president noted that one commercial company offers a purpose loan to the government to repay the salary arrears.
«One of companies is offering a loan on a repayable basis to liquidate the salary indebtedness. The government is studying this offer. However, any loan should be repaid anyway," noted Yevgeny Shevchuk.
According to him, if outer funding sources are found after all, the salary arrears, which amount to 300 million roubles, will be paid off in April-May 2016.
«If we have such an opportunity, we may be able to pay off the 2015 salary arrears in April-May," said the head of state.
The president recalled that pension arrears had been repaid back in December 2015.
