Tiraspol, 24 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The main subject of the 6th Pridnestrovian Investment Forum, which takes place in the Palace of Republic from 19 to 20 May, will be the overcoming of the crisis, said the chairman of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Yury Ganin. «This forum will become a big discussion platform, which we have titled 'Pridnestrovie in crisis: from the policy of survival to the policy of development'," Yury Ganin commented on the forum's new concept.
He explained that the three forums that Pridnestrovie organised in 2009, 2010 and 2013 were very sector-specific and their format did not presuppose the discussion of and search for solutions to sore institutional points of the country's economy. This year it is the investment and economic nature of the forum that will help develop an efficient anti-crisis programme.
The work of the forum will be attended not only by representatives of Pridnestrovian and foreign business communities, but also domestic and foreign experts, representatives of Pridnestrovie's public authorities. «We'd like to discuss the programmes which are adopted by the authorities, discuss their efficiency, discuss some new proposals and learn what our guests' opinion on what is wrong and what is correct," noted Yury Ganin.
Among discussion topics Yury Ganin particularly singled out the problem of private-public partnership. According to him, representatives of a Russian company specialising in this field will visit the forum to share the experience of implementing public and private joint projects. The concept for the development of private-public partnership was adopted by the government last year.
The forum's work will be based on six discussion platforms, each of which will offer interesting economic issues for discussion. The participants of the first platform will discuss problems and prospects of the development of foreign markets for selling Pridnestrovian goods. The second platform will focus on the taxation system; the third will deal with the enhancement of business environment and support for entrepreneurship; the fourth — the update of a technical control system; the fifth — contemporary technologies of attracting foreign and domestic investment and private-public partnership; the sixth — Pridnestrovie's monetary policy.
Significant attention will be traditionally given to the attraction of foreign investment in the country. Municipal and local state administrations are charged with preparing presentation stands featuring the most interesting projects by local businesspersons and the country's most profitable enterprises from the point of view of foreign capital infusion.
«The exact number of submitted investment projects depends on cities and districts. If earlier we asked a certain number of projects, for example, 30 from Tiraspol, 20 from Rybnitsa, 10 from Grigoriopol, now we do not insist," noted Yury Ganin. The number of investment projects presented at the last forum was 105.
Tiraspol, Bendery and Rybnitsa state administrations were instructed to draft projects for research parks on their territories. According to Yury Ganin, this new form of attracting foreign investment will also be given attention.
