According to the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova, Moscow considers a proposal of the Moldovan Defence Minister to replace the Russian peacekeepers in Pridnestrovie with the UN ones dangerous fantasies, RIA Novosti reports.
«He proposes to replace the Russian peacekeepers playing a key role in implementation of the peacekeeping operation, which has proved its efficiency on the Dniester, with the peacekeepers under the UN mandate. It is obvious that these fantasies are very dangerous and, of course, dramatically contrast with commitment of the new Moldovan cabinet to work in the direction of the Russian-Moldavan relations," Zakharova told at the briefing.
According to her, a question arises, what real position of the leadership of Moldova is.
