Tiraspol, 29 February. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. International experts observe that the global economy is continuing to weaken and becoming very vulnerable. Its growth has been slowing down and a reduction in demand seen in some countries is making a recovery process more difficult. In the meantime, the rate of foreign economic operations directly reflects global economic trends, reports the SCC press service.
Based on the 2014−2015 customs statistics, SCC analysts have conducted a comparative analysis of the foreign trade turnover of Pridnestrovie and a number of CIS countries. It has been revealed, at the same time, that the situation is similar in many respects.
«If Pridnestrovie's foreign trade turnover has been reduced by 26% over the specified period, in Russia it has decreased by 33%, in Ukraine 30% and in Kazakhstan by 36%, and only in Belarus this figure is equal to that of Pridnestrovie (26%)," underscores the customs committee.
The SCC notes that negative trends in foreign economic activities could be less perceptible for Pridnestrovie but for a series of restrictions being imposed on Pridnestrovie's cargoes by Ukraine and Moldova over the last two years.
