Tiraspol, 29 December. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovian State University hosts an international scientific conference, whose theme is «The ethnic and social convenience of Pridnestrovians as a basic component of the Pridnestrovian society». The scientific problem outlined like that touches upon a number of allied subjects. Ethnologists, historians, sociologists and political scientists will take part in the discussion of this problem. Such a broader composition of the scientific forum will enable its participants to uncover the problem through a prism of different disciplines and methodological approaches both general theoretic reports and investigations into ethnic and social issues of the regions will be presented at the conference.
So, the report of ethnologist Vyacheslav Stepanov, PhD, sheds light on the problem of ethno-civil building in the PMR. His colleague, political scientist Svetlana Osipova, will speak about the influence of the ethnic factor on the process of national development in the contemporary world. Besides Pridnestrovian scientists, the conference is attended by representatives from Moldova and Russia.
