Bendery, 3 December. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. From 25 to 29 November Bendery hosted the Moldovan Volleyball Championship among youngsters borne in 2000−2001. Eight teams from Tiraspol, Bendery, Dubossary, Parkany, Kamenka, Kishinev, Briceni and Soldanesti took part in the competition.
The teams were divided into two groups. The first group included teams from Dubossary, Tiraspol, Parkany and Bendery, and the second group comprised teams from Kamenka, Kishinev, Briceni and Soldanesti. After tense games in groups and semi-finals, Bendery and Dubossary met in the final match.
The Dubossary team gained a victory in the final and became the volleyball champions of Moldova among youngsters borne in 2000−2001.
