Expert's opinion: lawful and faultless voting meets both public and state interests

The editor-in-chief of Odnako.Eurasia, Semyon Uralov, has commented on election processes in Pridnestrovie

In an interview with our reporter the Russian expert said that stakes would be high during the upcoming elections.

«As far as I can judge from the list of candidates, the oligarchic group Sheriff has nominated a lot of lobbyists and managers of its own. They have launched their own TV channel, which is actively promoted. Almost all internet traffic and cellular communications are under control of this very group of companies. If the oligarchy manages to take the parliament under control, there is a strong possibility of a deep political crisis. The conflict between the state and the oligarchy will be transferred to the parliament and is likely to become comprehensive," said Uralov.

He noted that, when big capital gains parliamentary monopoly, there is a strong temptation to override the state. And under the hybrid war unleashed against Pridnestovie, this may result in the collapse of both the state and its economy.

«This is why it is in the interest of the state and public that the voting will pass off as lawfully and faultlessly as possible. The parliament must present a social cross-section of the society rather than serve the interests of private capital. Only in this case will the state be able to stand up to external pressure and hybrid war," concluded the expert.
