Pridnestrovie's Foreign Minister Vitaliy Ignatyev meets Russian officials

The acting minister of foreign affairs is on working visit to Moscow

In the office of the Russian presidential administration the head of Pridnestrovie's foreign ministry was received by Sergey Glazyev, adviser to the Russian president on integration within the Customs Union and the Common Economic Area of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. Russia's MFA Ambassador at Large Sergey Gubarev and the aide to Vice Premier Dmitriy Rogozin, Dmitriy Loskutov, also took part in the meeting.

According to Pridnestrovie's MFA press office, urgent issues related to Pridnestrovie's socio-economic development under present challenges and threats were discussed during the meeting. Vitaliy Ignatyev provided detailed information to the Russian partners on the pressure Moldova and Ukraine are exerting on Pridnestrovie's economy. The parties also talked about prospects for addressing the situation and outlined potential joint activities and plans that might help to enhance the prosperity of Pridnestrovie's population.

In Russia's MFA office Vitaliy Ignatyev had working dinner with Sergey Gubarev. «During the meeting with the Russian diplomat the whole range of urgent issues related to the ongoing negotiations between Pridnestrovie and Moldova was discussed," says the statement of Pridnestrovie's MFA press office.

Vitaliy Ignatyev informed Sergey Gubarev on some results of the meetings of chief negotiators and expert (working) groups, which took place in September-October 2015. Special emphasis was placed on Moldova's discriminatory policy regarding politically motivated criminal prosecution of Pridnestrovian citizens, blocking of transport logistics and foreign trade activities of Pridnestrovie's economic entities.
