Yevgeny Shevchuk: One mustn't create more problems and obstacles for trade in crisis

Head of state commented on the negotiation course with the Republic Moldova at the meeting with public of capital

The President noted that 5+2 negotiations had been actually frozen recently. According to Yevgeny Shevchuk, it was caused by the actions of partners from Kishinev who had refused from their announced intentions in practice.

«In my opinion, we witnessed pretty constructive declarations about 2 years ago. When the Pridnestrovie's and Moldova's leadership declared that we would build up cooperation through the tactics of small steps aiming to expand our social and economic interaction with a perspective that any of the parties didn't take actions aggravating the situation of another side. One mustn't create more problems and obstacles for trade in crisis," Pridnestrovie's President told.

«However, we see real attempts to block our export, to license our enterprises, we see demands to admit the Moldavian inspectors to these enterprises, i.e. to delegate control of foreign economic activity; we see a series of criminal cases initiated against state authorities and Pridnestrovie's economic agents. Obviously such actions have undermined trust and predetermine a pause in the dialogue," Yevgeny Shevchuk added.

The Head of state emphasized that political instability in Moldova also impacts negotiation process.
