As was voiced at an operational meeting of the Ministry of Economic Development, in the past eight months of the current year the industrial output had decreased by 10.1% in comparable prices and by 15.7% in dollar equivalent as compared to the same period in 2014. The minister of economic development, Alevtina Slinchenko, noted that almost all sub-industries are facing a decline in production.
At the same time, as Novosti Pridnestrovya News Agency has been reporting, the government manages to restrain inflation processes, and the consumer price index for January-August 2015 makes up 97.65%. This means that prices for goods and services have dropped by 2.35% in Pridnestrovie.
The minister also recalled that at present the Supreme Council is considering the Concept for Budgetary and Tax Policy for 2016, a draft of the Forecast of Pridnestrovie's Socio-economic Development for 2016 and a draft of the Tax Code. All these documents require quick approval and further work in the line of tax reforms.
Besides, the participants discussed anti-crisis measures proposed by the government and analysed the execution of current presidential and governmental instructions.
