Based on the interpretations, submitted by the government, the State Customs Committee states that the framework mechanism of cooperation between Moldovan and Pridnestrovian insurers applies only to the vehicles registered in Moldova and Pridnestrovie and does not apply to the cars registered in third countries.
Hence, the civil liability of car owners registered in third countries but having insurance policies issued by the Moldovan companies which have joined the framework mechanism of cooperation is subject to compulsory insurance in accordance with established procedure.
