Today a whole delegation of guests has shared with gymnasium pupils the happiness of the first bell ceremony. Among the guests were Pridnestrovie's president, Yevgeny Shevchuk, minister of education, Tatyana Tsivinskaya, Russian ambassador to Moldova, Farit Mukhametshin, and the founder of ANO Eurasian Integration, Aleksey Zhuravlyov.

«I am glad to visit your school, whose pupils win prizes at academic olympiads and enter the best universities of Ukraine, Moldova and Russia. This is the best demonstration of your efforts and teachers' work," noted Yevgeny Shevchuk.

Every pupil has received a set of new Russian textbooks by 1 September. Tiraspol's gymnasium has been supplied with nearly 10,000 books.

The gymnasium was among the first to receive new books. On the whole, due to the personal initiative of President Yevgeny Shevchuk, Pridnestrovie's educational institutions will be supplied with 517,200 latest, up-to-date textbooks. At the school lineup it was emphasised that it is the first large scale renewal of school funds in the history of Pridnestrovie.

«I am very pleased to visit your school today and take part in the delivery of new textbooks. It was the initiative of Pridnestrovie's president, Yevgeny Shevchuk, which was supported by the Russian government," said Farit Mukhametishin, Russian ambassador to Moldova.

«This is a special lineup because we are receiving the most honourable guests and because it is taking place on the 70th anniversary of the Victory and on the eve of Pridenstrovie's 25th anniversary. I want to express gratitude for the new textbooks we have been presented with. I believe we will justify your confidence since our gymnasium has always shown high rates of education quality and has always been among leaders in this respect," said the director of Tiraspol's humanities and maths gymnasium, Valentina Zemlyakova.
