Guests from Abkhazia and Nagorny Karabakh visit Pridnestrovie's schools

A delegation from the Nagorno-Karabach Republic has visited Tiraspol's A.P. Chekhov Secondary School 3, and a delegation from the Republic of Abkhazia has visited Bendery's Gymnasium 2

Today all schools of Pridnestrovie have held ceremonial lineups on the occasion of Knowledge Day. The festive event in Tiraspol's secondary school 3 was visited by the delegation of the Nagorno-Karabach Republic, including the secretary general, head of foreign ministry apparatus, Semyon Afiyan, and the chairman of the National Assembly permanent commission, Artur Tovmasyan.

«On behalf of the people of Nagorny Karabakh, on behalf of your peers of the Artsakh Republic, I am sending you our warmest regards and best wishes! May you always be in high spirits, which would help you to obtain necessary knowledge at this marvellous school and apply it for the benefit of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic," said Semyon Afiyan.

According to Pridnestrovie's MFA press office, later today the NKR delegation will visit Pridnestrovie's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and meet the minister of foreign affairs, Nina Shtanski.

On Knowledge Day, Bendery's Gymnasium 2 has been visited by the guests from the Republic of Abkhazia: the vice president, Vitaliy Gabniya, Abkhzia's plenipotentiary representative to the PMR, Alexander Vataman.

Vitaliy Gabniya addressed the attendees with an opening speech, saying that there is a consolidated society in Pridnestrovie, relying on real, undistorted history. «You, the Pridnestrovians, have the right attitude towards good and evil, which means that today's first form pupils have a secured future," he said.

The guests underscored Pridnestrovie and Abkhazia have common fate. «We couldn't but recall today the tragic events of 1992, when the war was unleashed. Nine Pridnestrovians were among those who came to our defence in the first days. Two of them were killed. The people of Abkhazia honours and remembers their names. Therefore, you should remember, whatever may happen in Pridnestrovie — one good turn deserves another. We have been and will always be with you, this concerns our honour," concluded Vladimir Zantariya.
