Nina Shtanski: "New Moldova's sanctions against Pridnestrovie's car owners is are a 'shot in their own feet'"

According to her, introduction of a ban on Pridnestrovie-Moldova border crossing for cars registered in Pridnestrovie is not a new invention of the Moldova's side

Nina Shtanski published a messege on her own Facebook wall that such news was a 'wake-up call'.

«Only imagine we are talking about the decision which was formalized by the Government of RM in 2009. And after so many years, according to the reports of Moldova's mass media, on August 24, that is in two days after my meeting with Victor Osipov, they suddenly recall this decision and it comes into effect. The sense of such acts of our Moldavian partners is absolutely unclear. Every time Moldova's side imposes a new sanction against Pridnestrovie, it harms not only Pridnestrovians, it totally smashes the image of a constructive negotiator concerned by the dialogue, which is so studiously created for some foreign experts. It is «a shot in their own feet'. After all, the freedom of movement is one of the negotiation process priorities, it is noted as a paramount issue in the negotiations agenda signed in 2012, and it is aprroved by all participants of '5+2' format," the Pridnestrovie's diplomat wrote.

She reminded that, to provide freedom of movement, the parties had crossed swords not for once recently resolving a vehicle insurance issue in order that cars could freely move both across Moldova, and across Pridnestrovie where they had been registered.

As Novosti Pridnestrvya have already reported, the Pridnestrovie's Foreign Ministry had published the information that they had sent to the Special Representative of the Acting OSCE Chairman Radoyko Bogoyevich an official letter urging to interfere in the situation immediately and to involve all resources in order to prevent growing tension. The request for official explanations was also sent to the Moldavian negotiator Victor Osipov in Kishinev.
