It is the 15 year running when the patriotic organisation Our Serbia holds the School of Friendship.
This year the camp hosted over 200 children from Serbia, Pridnestrovie, Macedonia, Bulgaria and the DNR, the press service of the Dniester-Prut Centre of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS DPC) reports.
Pridnestrovie was represented this year by 10 children, the winners of the contest «A. V. Suvorov. The Science of Victory», which took place in April-May under the auspices of the RISS DPC and Pridnestrovie's Ministry of Education.
The 15th School of Friendship offered a very rich programme: the children learnt the languages of the participating countries, sang popular songs, studied history, ethnology and ecology, cooked national dishes, did handiwork, music and sports.
The weather in western Serbia was also nice and fine these days.
On 18 July the Russian delegation, led by the RISS director, Leonid Reshetnikov, visited the School of Friendship. The RISS delegation took part in the work of children's study groups and talked to representatives of every country participating in the school. Leonid Reshetnikov favoured with special praise Pridnestrovie's children who enthusiastically talked about Pridnestrovie's history and life, sang several songs and made hand-made presents to the Russian delegation.
On 24 July the Pridnestrovian delegation came back home, but the day before they had had the opportunity to see the sights of the Serbian capital, Belgrade.
«The regrettable incident in Bucuresti Airport could not prevent the children from having a good time. I want to thank them for making an excellent presentation of Pridnestrovie. I also thank the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for organising the contest 'A. V. Suvorov. The Science of Victory'. Next year we will hold this, already traditional, contest again, and its winners will also have a holiday in Serbia," noted the RISS DPC director, Sergey Mokshantsev.
