The autonomous non-commercial organisation Eurasian Integration was established in November 2012 for the development and implementation of a humanitarian aid programme in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. At present the organisation is building socially important facilities in the sphere of healthcare, pre-school, secondary and higher education.

The construction of some projects has already been finished. For instance, four kindergartens have been commissioned. In a short time, some more projects will be completed. Among them is a new building of the medical department of Pridnestrovian State University. The construction of this project has been inspected today by Alexander Argunov, director of ANO Eurasian Integration.

At the moment, 181 persons are working at the building site. They plan to complete the construction by Republic Day (2 September), and on 3 September medical students will start their studies in the new building.

«The PSU medical department is one of the first facilities which we projected alongside kindergartens and the Centre of Mother and Child," said Alexander Argunov in an interview with our reporter. «It is going to be finished in a month, and, if there is no force majeur, students will have their first lectures here as early as on 3 September.»

According to the director, the new building will be equipped with the most necessary things for study — from furniture to labware.

The PSU rector, Galina Sandutsa, appreciated the project size. «The construction of this project is a very important event for the university and higher education of our republic as a whole. Health care is a priority area in Pridnestrovie, and it is necessary that training specialists in this area should be conducted in compliance with all medical and higher education standards," she noted.

The fact that the department building is in the territory of the Republican Clinical Hospital will also contribute to the enhancement of the training quality of future doctors. This will enable students to obtain theoretical knowledge and medical practice.

In addition to the medical department, ANO plans to finish by 2 Septmber the construction of the anti-tuberculosis department of Rybnitsa's Central District Hospital. Alexander Argunov said that, when implementing the humanitarian projects, ANO faced difficulties caused by the outer blockade of Pridnestrovie. «There is difficulty in delivering cargoes via Ukraine," said the ANO director. «We have crossed over to either Pridnestrovian construction materials (steel and concrete) or cargoes delivered from or via Moldova.»

Nevertheless, the organisation has managed to deliver to Pridnestrovie highly sophisticated medical equipment for the total amount of RUB 300 million. «Delivering all these through Ukraine was almost a special operation," said the director.

But the problems arising in the territory of Pridnestrovie, according to Alexander Argunov, have been solved by ANO Eurasian Integration, thanks to considerable assistance of the president and the government. «We should give due credit to them — but for their support and administrative intervention, we would not have gone so far," he concluded.
