Pridnestrovie's Lebed Defence Ministry Military Institute was founded in obedience to the Presidential Decree in 2008. This year, for the fourth time, the institute graduates new officers ready to serve in the Pridnestrovie's Armed Forces. According to the tradition, the graduation ceremony took place at the Memorial of Glory in Tiraspol.
the Pridnestrovie's President Yevgeny Shevchuk, the Defence Minister Alexander Lukyanenko and the head of the PSU Galina Sandutsa came to congratulate the graduates and to confer them the final qualification certificates.
«I wish you health, spiritual order, wellbeing for your families and peace! The whole republic is proud that the country has its own army and officers. Success and all the best attend you!» Yevgeny Shevchuk addressed to the new officers.
72 graduates leave the military institute holding the rank of a lieutenant. Besides the military profession, finishing the military institute, they also get the civilian one. «A remarkable thing of this graduation, in comparison to the previous years when the cadets received one of three civillian qualifications, is that this year all of them received an HR manager qualification," the chairperson of the Arms and Firing Department of the military institute lieutenant colonel Oleg Ukhalsky told our reporter. As for the military qualifications, there are no changes according to Oleg Ukhalsky. The military institute continues training the cadets on three qualifications: Motor-rifle Unit Commanding, Artillery Unit Commanding and Morale Building in Ground Military Forces.
Very soon, the new officers will be assigned to the Pridnestrovie's military units. The priest of the Russian Orthodox Church Father Vladimir has bestowed a blessing to the new officers on protection of their Homeland today. After that, the graduates bent a knee and said farewell to the colour of institute. The graduation ceremony ended with the march-past of the new officers who, according to the tradition, threw small coins in the air.
