Russia will continue making efforts to mend dialogue between Kishinev and Tiraspol

According to the Russian Ambassador in Moldova Farit Mukhametshin, sides should take realistic steps in order to establish mutual trust

The Russian side is open to continue working with both sides and mediators of the «5+2» format negotiation process on improvement of dialogue between Kishinev and Tiraspol, the Russian Ambassador in Moldova Farit Mukhametshin declared at the meeting with the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office on Moldova-Pridnestrovie Reconciliation Radojko Bogojević and the head of the OSCE Mission in RM Michael Scanlan, the press service of the Russian Embassy in RM reports.

According to the Russian diplomat, the sides should take realistic steps in order to establish mutual trust.

At the meeting, the sides exchanged their opinions on the steps made by the mediators and the guarantors of the Moldova-Pridnestrovie reconciliation in order to resume the negotiation process in the «5+2» format. They also emphasized that it was vital to maintain stability and peace in the region that is in conformity with the interests and wishes of the people on both sides of the Dniester.

Radojko Bogojević has already visited Moldova for the second time. The diplomat met with the acting Prime Minister of RM Natalya Herman, with the PMR President Yevgeny Shevchuk and the head of the Pridnestrovie's foreign policy department Nina Shtanski.
