The year of 2015 is the anniversary year for the Floare footwear factory. Forty years ago, the first lot of footwear came off the assembly line. Since then the brand Floare has been the internationally recognised sign of quality both in CIS countries and far abroad. Boris Kichiuk, director of OAO Floare, told our reporter that the factory’s production is in demand in the states of Central Asia, the EU and the CIS.

Nearly 165 million pairs of shoes have left the assembly line since the establishment of the factory. Within the last year alone, Floare exported 350 high-capacity lorries of the production.

The union contract provides for 50 more benefits than it is stipulated in the legislation. Among them are childcare allowances, welfare in case of expensive medical treatment, severance pay.

The factory employs modern technologies, implements know-how supplied by the partners. It should be noted that the factory imports most of raw material. According to the director, this dependence on foreign markets makes Floare unprotected against changes in the foreign policy agenda. Nevertheless, the factory staff continue working successfully thanks to established long-term cooperation with foreign partners.

«I suppose our chief advantage, which keeps us afloat despite the pressure of objective reasons, is our cooperation with our partners, firs of all, our buyers, dealers and distributors," noted Boris Kichiuk.

Many foreign and domestic partners of the factory have come today to congratulate Floare on the anniversary. The celebration was attended by government and municipal representatives, including the first deputy chairwoman, Maya Parnas, the minister of economic development, Alevtina Slinchenko, the head of Bendery's State Administration, Nikolai Gliga, and the chairman of the City Council, Yuri Kara.

«Floare is one of the few enterprises that manage to find ways out of any difficult situation even in crisis conditions," said Maya Parnas in the congratulatory speech. She also read out the congratulatory address of the chairwoman of the government, Tatyana Turanskaya.

«Your factory gained the honorary title 'The Best Trademark' in Madrid, a medal for high quality of footwear from the Association of Light Industry Promotion in Paris, but all these were impossible to achieve but for the most valuable treasure the Floare factory has — its labour collective," says the address.
