Russia to make everything to preserve peace in Pridnestrovie

Leader of Pridnestrovie's communists Oleg Horzhan declared it on the air of Radio-1

Last week, the leader of the Pridnestrovie's Communist Party Oleg Horzhan met with the politicians from Russia. Oleg Horzhan told about the results of these consultations on the air of Radio-1.

«In my view, we have never been in such a difficult situation in Pridnestrovie, as it is now. We discussed this issue with the Russian colleagues at the meeting in Moscow. Our friends understand the importance of Pridnestrovie for Russia, and, today, the leadership of the Russian Federation takes a number of measures to help our republic. I think that, with Russian support, everything will be Ok," Horzhan noted on the air of Radio-1. «Pridnestrovie's delegation was assured in Russia that the peacekeeping mission in Pridnestrovie would be continued. No matter what it takes, Russia will make everything to preserve peace in our republic».

He emphasized that half of the State Duma deputies («Spravedlivaya Rossiya», LDPR and the CPRF) come out flat for the recognition of Pridnestrovie.

At the same time, Horzhan told, that people in Russia know little about the situation in Pridnestrovie. Due to this fact, according to the politician, it is necessary to forge close cooperation with the Russian civic organizations so that people in Russia could receive objective information about the events in Pridnestrovie. Besides, Horzhan considers that it is necessary to establish relations with sound civic and political forces in Moldova and Ukraine.

«Unfortunately, Moldova and Ukraine aren't sovereign states any more. Actions of these countries in relation to Pridnestrovie and the Russian citizens show that they pursue war against the Russian Federation and, consequently, with Pridnestrovie," Horzhan told. «However, there are politicians who don't favor the pro-Western policy in these countries. We have to cooperate with them».

During the conversation with journalists of Radio-1, the chairman of the Pridnestrovie's Communist Party noted that Pridnestrovie is the only country in the former Soviet Union which, in the economic crisis conditions, could preserve stable currency rate influencing the living standards of the population. According to him, stability of Pridnestrovie's ruble raised genuine admiration in political quarters of Russia.

As Oleg Horzhan noted, naturally, the role of state in economy has to increase in the conditions of crisis and foreign political pressure.

«The rules of liberal economy can't function in the today's conditions. We must roll up the sleeves and to get busy. But, unfortunately, many people, especially in the Supreme Council, don't want it," Horzhan told.

In his opinion, Government's initiatives on the economic situation improvement are blocked by those deputies of the Supreme Council who ignores the state priorities and presses the interests of large holders.

«If the representatives of large business, businessmen and civic organizations rally in these hard times, we will get through this crisis. The help from Russia depends on the steps made by our republic. If we stick together and show that we want to develop the economy, this help will be significant," Oleg Horzhan emphasized.
