This meeting occurred in terms of the cooperation with Pridnestrovie's Polish culture society Jasna Gora. The organisation has worked in our republic for 11 years, but it is the first time when so impressive delegation of Poland's doctors visits Pridnestrovie. For a few days they visited the Kamenka district and, in particular, Sloboda Rashkovo village, where the ethnic Poles live, and carried out medical survey of its residents.
Today the delegation, including different medical specialists, has met the minister of healthcare, Tatyana Skrypnik, to discuss the possible areas for further cooperation.
«There are three possible areas for further cooperation: referring patients (including children) in need of high technology operations to Poland and training our medical specialists. The latter may include both various types of training in Pridnestrovie and advanced training courses at Polish hospitals," said Tatyana Skrypnik.
The verbal arrangements will be formalised in the agreement which will be drafted soon.
«We are going to sign agreement between Pridnestrovie's Helthcare Ministry and rehabilitation centres in Krakow and Przemysl. Exchange of experience, assistance in diagnostics, scientific conferences — all these will aim at helping not only the ethnic Poles, but also other Pridnestrovie's citizens," clarified Marek Pantula, an honorary member of the Polish culture society Jasna Gora and co-ordinator of medical and humanitarian assistance on the part of Poland
The Polish specialists have also presented their Pridnestrovian colleagues with an ultra-sound machine for treating orthopaedic pathologies.
