The day before, a famous Russian political expert Oleg Matveychev visited the Pridnestrovie's State University. The expert gave a lecture about state sovereignty and problems its origin.
Along with the lecture, the expert answered some questions of audience about social and political developments in Russia and Pridnestropvie. The issue concerning the recognition of Pridnestrovie and its positioning on the international stage was one of the hottest topics.
According to Oleg Matveychev, Pridnestrovie should build international public attitudes about the republic more actively. Matveychev explained the importance of making own trends in public opinion also with the fact that the politicians are guided by it in decision-making.
The expert also noted that «the majority (in Russia — editor's note) clearly understands that Pridnestrovie is an economically developed territory».
«It is a rich and donor region which, on condition of its embeddedness, won't be a burden," Matveychev summarized.
