Pridnestrovie to accede to the Agreement on Introduction of the CIS International Vehicle Weight Certificates

A relevant draft decree was approved at the Government session today.

The document is to create legal international conditions to provide repeated vehicle weigh-in of the vehicles arriving to Pridnestrovie or crossing the territory of the republic in transit.

According to the Deputy Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatyev, this project was prepared according to the adoption of the Government resolution approving the rules of large-size and heavy freights transportation by motor vehicles across Pridnestrovie and regulations of compensation for harm done by these vehicles.

«If Pridnestrovie accedes to the treaty, it will be possible to implement additional international legal grounds for inclusion of Prinestrovie in the CIS international transportation sphere. Then, according to this, CIS Vehicle Weight Certificates will be accepted for heavy vehicles crossing Pridnestrovie; we will also avoid the need to weigh vehicles in the CIS countries over and over again the and we will raise additional funds for rendering relevant service in our republic," Vitaly Ignatyev noted and added that the Foreign Ministry was ready to notify the CIS Executive Committee of Pridnestrovie's accession to this agreement.
