It is to be recalled that Border Police of Moldova refused entry to the ENG crew of the «Postscriptum» program of TV Tsentr (Russian TV channel) at the Kishinev airport on April 19
Journalists were going to Pridnestrovie to shoot the reportage, when they were detained by the enforcement authorities of Moldova upon their arrival to Kishinev. Then, they were expelled from the country. Before that, entry was refused to the journalists of Zvezda and Russia 24 TV channels.
It is reported on the Foreign Ministry's website that another refusal of entry to Moldova to the journalists travelling to Pridnestrovie clearly demonstrated the information blockade course selected by the Republic of Moldova against Pridnestrovie. In this context, the competent authorities of Moldova cynically exploit the situation, because the access to Pridnestrovie for the citizens of Russia is actually possible only through the Chisinau Airport.
Also, the comment says that the foreign policy department considers long detention of TV Tsentr's journalists by the Moldovan Border Police (the «investigation» took more than four hours) as a demonstrative «punishment» aimed to suppress the interest of the Russian mass media in the today’s complex political and economic situation of Pridnestrovie.
Again, the Pridnestrovie's MFA urges the Moldovan side to refuse from the prevention of free journalist activity of the Russian media in Pridnestrovie.
