Pridnestrovie's First Deputy Prime Minister Maya Parnas met with delegation from the Arkhangelsk Region of the Russian Federation

It was headed by the Deputy Minister of Agro-industrial Complex and Trade Irina Bazhanova

The adviser to the Arkhangelsk Region's Vice-Governor Alexander Zhuravsky and the logistics director of the "Dial" corporate group Grigory Gusev also participated in a meeting.

In her opening speech, the First Deputy Prime Minister Maya Parnas thanked the guests for their visit and emphasized the importance of the foreign economic cooperation promotion within the existing arrangements.

The meeting concerned the further development of the earlier signed cooperation memorandum between Pridnestrovie and the Arkhangelsk Region and was purpose-oriented. Within two days, the representatives of both parties perambulated a number of the Pridnestrrovie's agricultural and  industrial enterprises, the Government's Press Service reports. 

According to the Pridnestrovie's Economic Development Minister Alevtina Slinchenko, the meeting concerned the interdepartmental cooperation development resulting in the signing of the certain contracts between the economic agents of Pridnestrovie and the Arkhangelsk Region.

"The cooperation establishment, also with the Arkhangelsk Region, is one of the Government's areas of work. It is an essential contribution into the foreign economic relations development between our state and the Russian Federation," Alevtina Slinchenko emphasized.

Concerning the further cooperation, the Arkhangelsk Region's Deputy Minister of Agro-industrial Complex and Trade Irina Bazhanova noted the delegation visited the Pridnestrovie's enterprises producing the goods of the region's consumers' interest.

"We have already selected the top-priority enterprises for us and those ones we are just planning to cooperate with due to the specific character of the production. Certainly, this meeting isn't final, we will have more detailed work on the contracts with the economic agents further," Irina Bazhanova explained.

She also added that, the Arkhangelsk Region is particularly interested in the goods made in Pridnestrovie.

"This production is absent in the Arkhangelsk Region's consumer market, and its quality is so high that it's would be popular among our residents for sure," the Arkhangelsk Region's Deputy Minister of Agro-industrial Complex and Trade Irina Bazhanova noted.

To be noted that the cooperation memorandum between Pridnestrovie and the Arkhangelsk Region was signed on September 17, 2014. This document provides the mutually beneficial cooperation and the expansion of trade and economic, scientific and technical and humanitarian contacts.
