The Head of State gave several comments on the situation concerning the foreign cash deficiency
As Evgeny Shevchuk noted during the live TV show of the Pridnestrovie's First Channel, there was a very high demand for the foreign currency in the republic. One of the reasons is its export by the Pridnestrovians to Moldova and Ukraine where the goods lowered in price considerably due to the dramatic devaluation of leu and hryvnia.
"However, there's enough non-cash foreign currency in Pridnestrovie, but there are problems with cash exactly. That's why we have tightened our control over the currency export abroad," the President told.
He also noted that some banks moved the foreign currency out of Pridnestrvie even in such a difficult situation. "Unfortunately, our legislation in the banking sphere is more liberal, than in Russia. Until the laws are changed, we try to act within the delegated legislation for the control tightening. If the situation changes, we will change our approaches," Evgeny Shevchuk told.
The Head of State also noted that the Pridnestrovie's Republican Bank together with the Government would do everything possible to keep the Pridnestrovie's ruble and further.
