The President received the Chairman of the Republican civic movement “Moldavians’ Union of Pridnestrovie”

The questions concerning the national organization’s activity in 2014 and also the future plans were discussed during the meeting

As the President’s Press Office reports, Evgeny Shevchuk received the Chairman of the Republican civic movement “Moldavians’ Union of Pridnestrovie” Valerian Tulgara. The Head of State congratulated the movement’s members represented by its head on the 22nd anniversary. “Being one of the largest civic movements, the Moldavians’ Union of Pridnestrovie takes active part in the political, cultural and public life of our state. The organization’s activists make a significant contribution to the cooperation development between the government authorities and the public,” the President Evgeny Shevchuk emphasized in his congratulation.

The questions concerning the national organization’s activity in 2014 and also the future plans were discussed during the meeting. Valerian Tulgara specified the problems of the Moldavians living in Pridnestrovie.

The cooperation importance in topical issues between the government authorities and civic organizations was also emphasized during the conversation. “Today, we’ve got the accurate interaction system up and running between us and the government authorities, i.e. the ministries and departments saving and developing the Moldavian language in the Peidnestrovie’s territory. The most important result of our organization’s activity after 22 years is that we’ve managed to save the Cyrillic script of the Moldavian language and the Moldavian nation itself. The Pridnestrovie’s Moldavians are proud that we can speak the native Moldavian language,” Valerian Tulgara noted.
