The deputies started reviewing the republican draft budget provisions vetoed by the President

The Economic Policy, Budget and Finance Committee held a meeting in the Supreme Council today

The order of the Head of state at which the vetoed norms are specified and is given justification, The deputies started reviewing the President’s executive orders where the vetoed statutes were specified and the motivation was noted, but the document wasn’t entirely revised. The President’s representatives consider that such actions of the deputies violate the Supreme Council’s regulations, moreover they can result in the serious consequences.

“The deputies haven’t started their consideration at three points of the eight and have continued their discussion on the further questions of the agenda leaving them in the hovering state. In our view, such situation will delay the consideration terms of the President’s veto, and it will make impossible to review the veto at the session in essence further,” the Pridnestrovie’s Justice Minister Alexander Kisnichan explained.

In the Justice Ministry say that such actions of the deputies became the precedent. Till that, there weren’t cases of the President’s veto reviewing by the Supreme Council in such a manner.

“According to the Constitution, the President has the right to veto separate statutes of the republican budget. The President has used his right, issued his executive order rejecting separate budget items, so accordingly the deputies were obliged to consider the President’s order entirely. As they didn't do that today and the veto consideration regulations were violated, this matter can't be submitted to the Supreme Council’s consideration,” the President’s Plenipotentiary to the Pridnestrovie’s Supreme Council Irina Barbarosh emphasized.

The parliament’s plenary session (the second after the New Year's break) will take place on January 28.
