Additional measures program will be developed to stabilize the economy of Pridnestrovie

The Head of State received the First Deputy Prime Minister Maya Parnas and the Economic Development Minister Alevtina Slinchenko

The President was reported on the situation in the republic’s industrial sector at the meeting, the President’s Press Office reports. According to the Economic Development Minister, the considerable recession is observed in the outputs of the consumer goods and food industry and the machine and electrical industry. “They are the export-focused enterprises. The situation has had an aggravating impact on these enterprises’ activity since April, 2014. The output reduction and the income deficiency result in the tax revenue decrease, including the foreign economic activity,” Alevtina Slinchenko emphasized.

It was noted at the meeting that the Pridnestrovie’s enterprises face the still remaining difficult situation in Ukraine and the Russian ruble devaluation beyond the main foreign economic problems.

According to the information on the republican budget revenue shortfalls, the Government submitted to the President their offering to develop the economy stabilization program. “The program will include a number of emergency measures allowing us to stabilize the economy. These administrative measures will maintain different economic sectors including big, medium and small business, and also they are purposed to stimulate the agriculture sector activity,” noted the First Deputy Prime Minister Maya Parnas.

It is planned that the program will be reviewed at the Government’s session in the first decade of February.
