According to Evgeny Shevchuk, these simulated restrictions complicate the problems the existing world and regional economy and aggravate the Pridnestrovie’s instability
As the Pridnestrovie’s President Evgeny Shevchuk noted during the live program of Radio-1, the simulated barriers in the foreign economic activity influence the trade of goods and raw products as well as the banking business of Pridnestrovie.
“The banking business and the transport infrastructure are blocked. Besides, the foreign economic activity is carried out through Moldova. Moldova ceased issuing the certificates allowing to carry out the foreign economic activity in 2014. We can't transit our goods from Pridnestrovie through Ukraine to Russia,” Evgeny Shevchuk noted.
According to him, these simulated restrictions complicate the problems the existing world and regional economy and aggravate the Pridnestrovie’s instability.
“According to our estimates, if the Pridnestrovie’s economy (i.e.: banks, transport and border) be unblocked, we will become a really self-sufficient region with the help of certain investment in 3-5 years,” Evgeny Shevchuk emphasized.
In President’s view, the world community should be to be just regarding the Pridnestrovie’s situation. “We have to make the citizens’ rights and interests the key pillar of our priorities. The main UN documents reflect this statute. But we see that sometimes the political agenda and environment outweighs both justice and the citizens’ rights once again. We bear the pressure purposed to are to use economic difficulties, social problems to destabilize the general and political situation and to change the direction of Pridnestrovie’s development,” the President stated.
