The document purpose concerns the migration movements regulation, the coping with the negative consequences of randomly developing migration process in our republic. “The absence of the act regulating the population flow in Pridnestrovie’s legal framework resulted that the legal status of Pridnestrovie’s citizens, foreign citizens and persons without citizenship turned from the question touching rather small amount of people into a huge problem for many state authorities, organizations and wide society layers,” it is told in the draft’s explanatory notes.
The document establishes the reasons list for the migrants’ entry refusal, and also for making decisions on staying or residency ineligibility of the foreign citizen or the person without citizenship in the Pridnestrovie’s territory.
“Adoption of this law will allow to regulate the foreign citizens registration properly, their tracking and activity, to stop uncontrollable migration of foreign citizens and stateless persons,” developers explain.
Unlike similar legal acts of the Russian Federation, this draft supposes the migration registration to be carried out not only in the state territory, but also on its border, together with border control.
