Evgeny Shevchuk announced the most important negotiation priorities; they are the stability and safety of Moldova and Pridnestrovie
“Pridnestrovie plans to continue the negotiations and to find out the reasons of disagreements,” the President emphasized commenting on the Moldova-Pridnestrovie negotiation process issues.
It is a well known fact that there have been intense moves lately bringing discredit on the peacekeeping operation and aimed at the present format change.
“We think that provocations in the Security Zone, the incident to the Pridnestrovie’s customs officer and also the provocations concerning the border checkpoint blocking are aimed to bring discredit on the peacekeeping operation. This is done to cause more confrontation in the Security Zone, so that they could declare the peacekeeping format inefficiency, etc.,” Evgeny Shevchuk emphasized.
The Head of the state called such movements as ‘deliberate’.
“I emphasize that these movements of one party, aggravating the Security Zone situation, and the desire of several political Moldovan representatives to withdraw the Russian troops from Pridnestrovie are deliberate. I think, it’s very dangerous for the peace keeping not only here, but also in the whole region. Some of our partners have to cool down. They are mistaken badly. I urge them to think again and to support the peacekeeping operation, the stability and safety of Moldova and Pridnestrovie. This is a major priority. We plan to continue the negotiations and to find out the reasons of our disagreements,” the Pridnestrovie’s President told.
