Today Severodvinsk is hosting the Russian Navy Day celebrations. The event is attended by Pridnestrovian President Yevgeny Shevchuk, who has been invited by Special Envoy of the Russian President on Pridnestrovie Dmitriy Rogozin.
On the Russian Navy Day three submarines Knyaz Oleg (Bores-class), Krasnoyarsk (Yasen-class) and Khabarovsk have been laid down at Severodvinsk's Sevmash works. That was reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin by the Sevmash's Director General Mikhail Budnichenko during a video conference from Severodvinsk. The Russian president accepted the report when visiting the aircraft-carrying heavy cruiser Fleet Admiral of the Soviet Union Kuznetsov.
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitriy Rogozin noted that the Government's Military-Industrial Commission collaborates with management of various enterprises of the dedicated industry, resolving all issues, including social ones. "The way people feel, the conditions for their self-realization - that's what comes before everything. In principle, things are going well," said Dmitriy Rogozin.
It should be noted that Pridnestrovie's head of state is on a working visit in Russia. The day before Yevgeny Shevchuk held a number of meetings with representatives of the military-industrial complex in the Arkhangelsk region. During the meetings, issues related to the supply of agricultural products from Pridnestrovie were discussed. The head of state also visited the Sevmash shipyards. Today the president has participated in the Navy Day's commemoration parade and the ceremony of laying down the submarines.
