THE ACTING CHAIRMAN OF THE OSCE ARRIVED IN PRIDNESTROVIE

Tiraspol, January, 18. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The acting chairman of the OSCE, the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia Miroslav Lajčák arrived at Bendery. Here he was met by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev.

Diplomats went to Tiraspol to the House of Formal Receptions where the meeting of the President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky and Miroslav Lajčák will take place.

As the Pridnestrovian MFA reported, the parties plan to exchange views on the prospects of international negotiations on the settlement of the relations between Pridnestrovie and Moldova.

Since January 1, 2019 presidency in OSCE passed from Italy to Slovakia. However, the post of the special representative of the Acting Chairman of the Organization for the Moldo-Pridnestrovian settlement will remain for the former Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy Franco Frattini.

Organization For Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) along with Russia and Ukraine is one of the intermediaries in negotiations between Moldova and Tiraspol. As observers also the USA and the EU take part in international negotiations.
