Tiraspol, January, 14. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The press service of the head of state said, that during the meeting in the Presidential Office, Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev told President Vadim Krasnoselski about the talks with the Russian Federation.
Work is carried out both through the diplomatic service and also with the trade mission. Today, the most pressing problem is the introduction of restrictions on the transit through Ukraine of goods that are shipped to the Russian Federation.
The interlocutors noted, that given that Pridnestrovie is an active exporter of a number of commodity groups and positions to Russia, it is necessary to take all possible measures to minimize negative costs for economic agents of the republic.
“Thanks to the joint work with the Russian colleagues, this issue should be resolved and transit to Russia of Pridnestrovian goods resumed” - Vadim Krasnoselski emphasized.
An effective platform for discussing and solving this and similar problems will be Pridnestrovian representation in the Russian Federation. Its official opening is scheduled for the end of January. At the moment, preparatory work is underway. The format, goals and objectives of the new diplomatic department are defined.
“The opening of the Pridnestrovian representation in Moscow will be an important step in strengthening and developing ties between Pridnestrovie and Russian Federation” - Vadim Krasnoselski said.
