A problem, concerning the unilateral change of a freight movement scheme by the Republic of Moldova on the Slobodka-Rybnitsa railroad section due to which the enterprises located in the north of Pridnestrovie bear considerable financial expenses, may be resolved soon. Following the results of a meeting in the Tiraspol OSCE Mission Office, political representatives from both Moldova and Pridnestrovie voiced these statements.
«Regarding this matter, we feel that this problem has a solution and this solution is close. As far as we are concerned we don't see any violation of the Railway Transportation Legal Agreement. But we understand that there are some grounds, maybe, in this business, and they trigger such questions," Victor Osipov told in his interview to journalists.
Consultations on this problem will be continued within the expert groups involving the Ukrainian side.
«We were assured that the Moldovan side took necessary steps to stabilize the situation. The relevant documents, including the telegram which should have restored the status quo situation, were addressed to the Ukrainian side, but some statements weren't rather concrete. In this regard, we agreed to hold one more meeting of the experts including the representatives of Ukrzaliznitsa very soon to remove all possible inconsistencies at the technical level," Nina Shtanski told in turn.
Also, the Pridnestrovie's side plans to address to the Embassy of Ukraine in order that the representatives of this country who were present at the today's meeting of political representatives «could give proper explanations to the agents controlling the railway traffic».
«I feel great optimism as concerns this matter, and it seems to me that we are very close to the resolution of this problem," the head of the Pridnestrovie's Foreign Ministry emphasized.
