Pridnestrovie's JCC delegation urged their colleagues from Moldova to focus on the peacekeeping

The regular session of the Joint Control Commission took place in Bendery

"The session was focused only on the approved agenda including more than 50 questions for today," the Prisneatrovie's JCC cochairman Oleg Belyakov noted during the interview to our reporter.

The parties had to assess the situation in the Safety Zone represented in the reports of the Joint Military Command during the meeting. Meanwhile, the Moldova’s representatives ultimatively demanded to discuss the question concerning the freedom of movement in the Safety Zone.

"The key problem is that the Pridnestrovie's party suggests assessing the Safety Zone situation according to the JMC's reports which weren't considered for a long period of JCC's work blockade. The Pridnestrovie's party is ready for the compromise. We told about it at the latest meeting, so let's unite these questions we with the proper measures and sign the common protocol on the JMC's reports and on the already concerted questions. Those issues where we have disagreements we may either confine ourselves to an exception report, or postpone everything to the following meeting," Oleg Belyakov noted.

The Pridnestrovie's representatives specify that the question suggested for the consideration by the Moldova's party arose a long time ago. This issue has been discussed at the different conference venues including the "5+2" format for a number of years. The members of Pridnestrovie's JCC delegation suggest to focus on the questions concerning the peacemaking directly.

"There are questions concerning the interaction between the law enforcement agencies, the questions concerning the departure to the pickets and the control of the weapon and ammunition. Certainly, these are the questions of the peacekeeping operation. We have a wide scope of work here now," Oleg Belyakov emphasized.
