The PMR President: Moldova’s offensive weapons are growing, and the militarization process is obvious

Western arms supplies to the Moldovan army were commented on by the PMR President

Tiraspol, December 20. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. This’s more than alarming, that Moldova is increasingly acquiring offensive weapons, with the supplies being undertaken in secret from public and financed by NATO countries, the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselky noted in interview with RIA Novosti Pridnestrovia.

“But for what purpose supply one of the parties with weapons in conditions of unresolved conflict? Instead of investing in peaceful development, they’re importing weapons that exacerbate existing tensions”, Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed bewilderment.

At the same time, the PMR President expressed hope that the Moldovan authorities don’t want a war.

It should be reminded that the Moldovan army has recently received Israeli-produced large-caliber howitzers as well as US-produced self-propelled mortars, tracked armoured personnel carriers, ranged weapon, radars station, and ammunition. Around three dozen joint military exercises with NATO countries are held annually.
