The President visited the Suvorov Museum in Tiraspol

An exhibition dedicated to Suvorov opened in Tiraspol on City Day. The initiative was initiated by Ilona Tyuryaeva, Head of the Tiraspol State Administration. The museum rooms are located in the Palace of Children's and Youthful Art. One of the first visitors was the Vadim Krasnoselsky.

The PMR President was told that the exhibition was designed, targeted the youth audience. This is not a traditional museum with artifacts and original documents, but rather an educational space. The materials were selected and designed with children's perceptions in mind. The Palace of Children's and Youthful Art was chosen as the venue for the exhibition for a reason. It is the city's leading supplementary education institution with a wide audience. Furthermore, its location itself is an integral part of the exhibition's design: the Palace of Children's and Youthful Art is located on Alexander Suvorov Square, adjacent to the monument to the great military leader and founder of Tiraspol. The Suvorov Museum is expected to be more than a venue for tours, but rather a center for themed lessons, creative workshops, educational games, and patriotic competitions. Importantly, many of the exhibits were created by members of various clubs. Creative works by students of the Tiraspol and Moscow Suvorov Military Schools are also on display.

The symbolic red ribbon was cut by a Suvorov cadet and a student from the dance studio operating at the Palace of Children's and Youthful Art. The guide recounted significant historical events and dates associated with Suvorov's biography, as well as the founding, development, and growth of Tiraspol. She told the first visitors about the museum exhibits: photographs, copies of documents and maps, and replicas of awards and weapons. She also mentioned famous Tiraspol residents who were awarded the Order of Suvorov. She described the ships, atoll, and asteroid named after the Generalissimo. The museum features an installation depicting Alexander Suvorov composing a report to Empress Catherine the Great.

Vadim Krasnoselsky thanked the organizers for the idea and its high-quality execution. The President donated a saber to the Suvorov Museum, symbolizing the weapon of Suvorov's invincible musketeers. He recalled that the commander Alexander Suvorov never lost a battle, conquered many fortresses and cities, but founded only one – Tiraspol. The President expressed confidence that the unbreakable historical bond with the Generalissimo gives the city the strength to overcome any difficulties, always emerging victorious.

Ilona Tyuryaeva explained that while visiting the Suvorov Museum in Tiraspol, one can visit any similar museum around the world. The organizers have compiled a collection of discs from these institutions, each of which will be available for viewing in a specially designated area. It is located one level below the main hall, in the former Pioneer Corner. However, the history of Pioneer education has not been obscured. Thematic exhibits have not only been preserved but also updated. A proposal was made during today's opening of the museum block to return the institution to its historical name the House of Pioneers instead of the cumbersome Palace of Children's and Youthful Creativity and the difficult-to-pronounce and difficult-to-understand acronym DDYUT.
