The PMR President held a meeting to discuss legislative initiatives under consideration by the Supreme Council, developed to improve the legal norms regulating the activities of the prosecutor's office. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized, opening the discussion, the importance of this control and supervision body, recalling that the Prosecutor of the PMR is equally distant from the legislative, executive branches and the President. Vadim Krasnoselsky spoke about the importance of checks and balances and that the system should not be adjusted to a specific person occupying a particular position.
The discussion focused on legislations prepared by deputies, as well as initiatives of the PMR Prosecutor. The meeting participants exchanged opinions on the proposed provisions. The discussion was attended by the Head of the Administration of the President of the PMR Sergey Belous, the PMR Government Chairman Alexander Rozenberg, the PMR Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov, the head of the parliamentary Committee on legislation, law enforcement agencies, defense, security, peacekeeping, protection of rights and freedoms of citizens Galina Antyufeeva, the PMR Prosecutor Anatoly Guretsky, the Minister of Justice of the PMR Alexandra Tumba.
