All educational institutions in Pridnestrovie celebrate Knowledge Day today. The first school bells rang in 158 schools, lyceums, gymnasiums, and complexes that combine kindergartens and primary grades. There are class hours at the end of the ceremonial assemblies. This is a tradition of celebrating the beginning of the school year. This lesson is the very first for first-graders. Every teacher tries to make it memorable. Anna Vladimirovna Tabunshchik has been in pedagogy for almost three decades. She is a primary school teacher at Tiraspol School No. 9. She is excited together with her 1A today. She prepared for the Peace Lesson a brain ring game and a journey to the Land of Knowledge on a magic locomotive, during which the newly minted schoolchildren solemnly took the first-grader's oath.
The relatives of the first-graders were no less excited today than the teacher and the students. Vadim Nikolayevich and Svetlana Sergeevna are the grandparents of 1A grade student Ilya Krasnoselsky. The couple arrived to congratulate their grandson, his classmates and first teacher on Knowledge Day.
Vadim Krasnoselsky called today an exciting day, noting that the kids have crossed the line between a carefree childhood and a responsible childhood. The President noted speaking about his school years that he has the brightest memories of this period of his life. The President said that he, being the son of a military person, started school in faraway Germany – School No. 121 in the German city of Plauen. He continued his studies from the third grade in Bendery.
The President thanked all the teachers for their work, wishing them harmonious interaction with the students.
