"Equal Opportunities" is not just the name of the target program to support people with special needs. This is the essence of the policy of the Pridnestrovian state towards citizens with special life needs. It was not always like this unfortunately. Those whose lives were already complicated by illness were deprived of the opportunity to study, develop, and adapt to society for many years. The situation has changed. New specialized institutions for adults and children are opened in the republic and the infrastructure of existing ones is modernized every year. Centers have been created that are not available in neighboring states. Specialized educational and training institutions are functioning. Various sports and cultural events are held. The opportunity for free education at the state university and secondary vocational education institutions is provided. All this is so that a person with a disability can socialize as comfortably as possible, strengthen his body and spirit, make acquaintances, and have development prospects. This was discussed during today's event dedicated to the completion of reconstruction work at the municipal special (correctional) educational institution No. 2.
the specialized institution located in Trud (Labour) Lane of the capital is attended by children aged three to eight years who need an unconventional approach to the educational process. The kindergarten was opened in 1955 and initially had four groups. The institution was expanded in 1961. The second building was erected. The number of groups was increased to ten. Children with visual impairments were separately gathered for the first time. The preschool institution was re-profiled nine years later into a correctional one, opening groups for children diagnosed with difficulties with hearing, speech, development, and the state of the musculoskeletal system. The popular specialized kindergarten has not seen major repairs since its construction. At the insistence of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, the buildings of the municipal special (correctional) educational institution were reconstructed and re-equipped. One renovated building was commissioned In 2023 and the second one today. Playgrounds have been put in order and equipped, and walking pavilions have been installed. The President personally supervised the progress of the work and visited the site several times in the course of his work to inspect it. He arrived today to congratulate the staff on their housewarming, the upcoming start of the school year, and the upcoming Republic Day. Vadim Krasnoselsky was invited to take a tour of the floors of the renovated building. The President inspected the groups, offices of specialized specialists, the music hall, and walked around the landscaped area. A group photo was taken to commemorate the festive visit.
