Vadim Krasnoselsky reported on the Moldovan authorities’ unwillingness to fulfill their obligations

The PMR President at a meeting with the Russian Ambassador noted that at the same time Chisinau includes leverage over Pridnestrovie

Tiraspol, May 26. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky discussed the situation in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova with Russian Ambassador Oleg Vasnetsov, the press-service of the president reports.

Vadim Krasnoselsky stressed that the Pridnestrovian side is invariably supporting the 5 + 2 negotiation format (Pridnestrovie and Moldova are parties; Russia, Ukraine as well as OSCE are mediators; USA and EU are observers) preservation. The PMR President noted that it’s unacceptable to ignore the two-year stagnation in negotiations provoked and supported by Moldova, and also paid attention on the neighboring republic stable unwillingness to fulfill previously achieved obligations.

“In five months of 2021, as well as in the period from 2019 to 2020, we don’t see any progress. Expert groups are barely functioning, leverage against Pridnestrovie is included, the bank blockade is continuing, issues of the vehicle registration points working, neutral license plates aren’t fully resolved and any decisions about traffic restriction of our vehicles from September 1 are made and so on. Not to mention facts of our officials’ illegal detention at the Chisinau airport, the Pridnestrovian cargo detention as well as seizure. All this aggravates the already difficult situation,” Vadim Krasnoselsky reminded.

The PMR President expressed confidence that progress in the negotiations is impossible in conditions of ignoring obligations of one of the parties.

“To the extent that Moldova doesn’t fully implement agreements reached, then we’ll have the right to withdraw from the previously signed agreements,” Vadim Krasnoselsky stressed in an interview with Oleg Vasnetsov.
