The main issue discussed today in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters is the situation that has developed in the pulmonology department of the Republican Clinical Hospital. Approximately fifty people - patients and employees - were sent the day before to the Slobodzeya coronavirus hospital. Their analyzes were delivered to Chisinau for research. The reason is the confirmed fact of the COVID-19 among patients undergoing treatment in pulmonology of the capital's hospital. Vadim Krasnoselsky called this case egregious, emphasizing that this is an example of medical negligence and irresponsibility.
By the decision of the PMR President, the head physician of the Republican Clinical Hospital Vladimir Pelin and his deputy for the medical unit Irina Chekoltan, who headed the pulmonology department of the Republican Clinical Hospital were removed from their posts.
