Tiraspol, November 22./Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Closing of accounts of a number of the Pridnestrovian enterprises in banks of Moldova is a lever of economic pressure on Pridnestrovie. “In this way Moldova violates the agreements reached earlier, which give us the right to conduct independent foreign economic activity”, said Vadim Krasnoselskiy on the air of the TSV TV Channel.
The President expressed the view that there was a clear strategic intent in the actions of the neighboring state. This is evidenced by the decision of the Moldovan side to submit for discussion the issue of harmonization of tax systems of Pridnestrovie and Moldova.
In doing so, it stalled the signing of the final treaty. There is a double intent. The first is an attempt to follow the path of harmonization of tax systems. The second aspect – understanding that we will not go to it, not to sign the final document, the Head of the state noted.
Vadim Krasnoselskiy also stressed that for thirty years Pridnestrovie has developed its own tax system, which was different from the tax system of Moldova, and it was simply impossible to connect them.
“Are they specialists? Where is the conclusion of those who should give their assessment of the possibility of connecting the two tax systems? You can't restore a broken crystal vase that has spread apart. It can only be glued together, but it will look ugly. You don't have to engage in politicization. Economists need to conclude whether this can be done. So, it is simple populism, desire to bend Pridnestrovie in its direction, first on bank accounts, then on taxes, currency and so on. It won't go away, it's impossible. Yes, it will be more difficult for us, but we will survive and find an opportunity to counteract”, the President said.
According to him, the closing of bank accounts, aggravation of the land question in the Dubossary district, the intractability of the Moldavian side in the 5+2 format conduct only to loss of trust between the parties, and it is dangerous to future arrangements.
“In 2017-2018 we took steps towards each other in terms of agreements that positively influenced the lives of people on both banks of the Dniester. Now it falls, Moldova pulls down. What for? Will see. Maybe they do not think about the consequences, maybe they have some strategic plan, but I do not like it at all”, said Vadim Krasnoselskiy.
The President believes that the consequences of such actions were not assessed in neighboring state, especially their impact on the citizens of the PMR. «When did they think of people? They haven’t thought about their own citizens, about ours – especially. It is a neighboring state, with neighboring issues and interests. Our people are not interested in them, - the Head of the state expressed confidence.
