Tiraspol, December 20. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky in an interview with Novosti Pridnestrovya news agency said that every negotiating contact is being deliberately reduced by Moldovan authorities.
There have been no meetings between political representatives since April, subject-matter experts’ meetings are held very rarely, but international negotiations in the 5+2 format have been absent since the year of 2019, when Moldova disrupted the signing of an agreed protocol. Meanwhile, problems in relations between Tiraspol and Chisinau are growing, fraught with increasingly negative consequences, Vadim Krasnoselsky explained.
“Every attempt to justify stagnation is just an empty word, covering up an absence of real action plan of those who’re blocking dialogue. Reasonable people understand that serious negotiations are valuable and beneficial to everyone, including international participants,” the Pridnestrovian President is convinced.
Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that all negotiation process’s problems, which have accumulated over decades, cannot be resolved in one fell swoop, but eventually, the restoration of dialogue between Pridnestrovie and Moldova is inevitable.
The PMR President reminded that maintaining peace and stability in the region is a significant reason in its own right for meeting as well as discussing. All participants in the negotiation process who are responsible for this, shouldn’t permit any circumstances conflict scenarios to arise.
