Vadim Krasnoselsky held an off-site meeting at the City Hospital in Bendery. The ongoing reconstruction and the need for further repairs were discussed with the Minister of Healthcare, the head of the city and the head physician. 450 thousand rubles were allocated under the capital investment program this year. Part of the funds were spent on work in the therapeutic department, the rest went to the reconstruction of the sewage system of the building where the infectious diseases department is located. Alexander Kuznetsov said that water was constantly collecting in the basement of the building built in 1967. An inspection showed that the sewage equipment had not only outlived its usefulness, but was practically gone. It was impossible to postpone the repair. Next comes a global reconstruction of the entire building. The facility is extremely important, the meeting participants noted. It was used as a covid hospital during the coronavirus pandemic. It is still in demand today. The two-story building of the medical institution was originally designed specifically for the infectious diseases department. The building is boxed, with separate entrances to ensure safety. Each ward has an isolated bathroom. A full renovation of the building and improvement of the adjacent territory will require about eight million rubles. The issue of financing will be discussed additionally.
