The "City of Military Glory" memorial appeared in Bendery relatively recently – in the year of the 70th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War, two years after Bendery was awarded this honorary title. The red granite stele and four columns with information plates were designed to draw attention to the history of the heroic city, full of feats. The stone of the memorial building was revived by flowers on a mournful day significant for every Pridnestrovian today. They were laid by the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky on behalf of the people of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
The next point of the mourning route, traditional for June 19, is a memorial sign installed in Panin Street – the place where the motor convoy guards died. The tragedy occurred on the night of June 22-23, 1992. Flowers as a symbol of unfading memory and unrelenting pain of loss are lowered to the stone with the tragic date carved on it – 06.23.1992.
The PMR President went to the monument to the defenders of Pridnestrovie then. It was installed in 2010 to coincide with the opening of the commemorative sign on the 19th anniversary of the Women's Strike Committee. Vadim Krasnoselsky annually meets at this location with Pridnestrovian activists – participants in the "rail war". There was communication, exchange of words of support and gratitude after laying flowers.
An obligatory component of the program of commemorative events held on the Day of the Bendery Tragedy is a visit by the leadership of the country and the city to the Military Historical Memorial Complex. Vadim Krasnoselsky is directly involved in the creation of this important facility for the people of Bendery. Opened in 2008 the memorial was created on his initiative and with his personal participation. The place is historical. This is the territory of the former military cemetery. That is why the military-historical memorial complex is known to many as a necropolis. Thousands of warriors who died in the 18-20 centuries are buried here. Their names are carved on black granite slabs. The Bendery necropolis has become an eternal shelter for eleven Russian military leaders, to whom monuments have been erected. There are soldiers of foreign armies among those who found peace here. Tribute is paid to everyone. Today, a delegation led by the PMR President left flowers at various memorial locations. Scarlet carnations were lowered to the monument to the civilians who died in 1992, erected on June 19, 2010, to the bow to the Cossack cross, erected in 2020, to the grave of Bendery resident Nina Olar, who was buried here by her husband in July 1992.
